Spendify(“we”, “our”, or “us”) is a free personal expense tracker operated as part of Grid Tools. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Spendify, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Spendify, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to run the app:

Account information. When you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with us through Firebase Authentication. We do not see or store your Google password.
Transaction data. The income, expenses, categories, notes, and dates that you add inside the app. This is stored in your private Firestore database and is visible only to you.
Settings. Your monthly budget, currency preference, and any custom categories you create.
Anonymous usage data. We use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to count page views and feature usage in aggregate. This data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify you.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used only to:

Display your transactions, budget, and analytics.
Sync your data across the devices you sign in on.
Maintain and improve the app.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, use it for marketing, or train third-party AI models on it.

4. Data Storage and Security

All personal data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Authentication), hosted on secure Google Cloud servers. Access to your data is protected by Firebase Authentication and restricted by Firestore security rules so that only your account can read or write it.

While no system is perfectly secure, we follow industry best practices and rely on Google Cloud's infrastructure to keep your information safe.

5. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following trusted third-party services:

Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore) — for sign-in and data storage.
Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) — for anonymous, aggregate usage statistics.
Cloudflare — for hosting and content delivery.

Each of these services has its own privacy practices. We encourage you to review them.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

Spendifydoes not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage only to remember your theme preference (light or dark mode) and to keep you signed in. You can clear this data at any time from your browser settings without losing your account.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You can, at any time:

Export all of your transaction data as a CSV file from Settings → Download CSV.
Delete your account and all associated data by emailing us at support@gridtools.qzz.io. We will process your request within 30 days.
Revoke Spendify's access to your Google account from your Google account security settings.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you have additional rights under the GDPR and CCPA, including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.

8. Children's Privacy

Spendify is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum digital consent age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. International Data Transfers

Spendify is operated from India. Your data is processed by Google Firebase, which may store and process data in regions other than your own. By using Spendify, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will make a reasonable effort to notify you (for example, by an in-app notice). Continued use of Spendify after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
